The initial diagnostic evaluation is $99.99 and includes one hour of testing for one concern. We waive that initial fee when you approve our repair estimate. A popping noise, an A/C problem, and a check-engine light are separate concerns unless testing shows they share one cause. Before further testing, another concern, or disassembly, we explain the next step and any added charge, then call or text for your approval. Additional authorized work is separate from the initial fee waiver.

Is a diagnostic test the same as reading codes?

No. Code reading identifies where the vehicle detected a problem. Diagnosis uses testing to determine why the code set and which component, circuit, or mechanical condition actually failed.

How long does diagnosis take?

Simple concerns may be isolated quickly, while intermittent or network problems can require more testing. We explain the initial diagnostic authorization and contact you if additional test time is justified.

Will you replace parts before confirming the problem?

Our process is built around verification. We provide findings and an estimate, and no repair work moves forward without customer approval.

What is the initial diagnostic charge?

The initial diagnostic evaluation is $99.99 for one hour of testing for one concern. That initial fee is waived when you approve our repair estimate. Additional testing, other concerns or disassembly require a separate explanation and authorization.

Do you perform state emissions testing?

No. Anchor Automotive does not perform state emissions testing or emissions inspections for vehicle registration. We offer mechanical-condition inspections and diagnostic repair. Diesel emissions-system diagnosis is a separate repair service.

Can I schedule diagnostics or major repairs on Saturday?

Request a weekday appointment for diagnostics, engine repair, transmission repair and other major repairs. Saturday hours are 8:00 AM-2:00 PM for scheduled maintenance only, including oil and filters, brakes, fluid services and A/C evacuation and recharge. Confirm the requested service and time with the shop.
